Hey, I’m Shelbi — your curly-haired photographer based in the Illinois Valley (and always willing to travel beyond).

Photography started as a hobby for me. I picked up a camera because I loved documenting the people and seasons around me.  Just life as it was happening and for fun, of course. Over time, it grew. I realized how meaningful it is to preserve moments that pass quickly, and it became a passion to capture life as it unfolds for you.

I’m currently in my go-with-the-flow mama era. My days are equal parts editing galleries and chasing tiny feet around the house. Motherhood has changed the way I see everything — it’s made me slower and more aware. Family, in general, has always been important to me, and I know it's important to some of you as well.

I'm small-town living with my husband and our little one, and we’re almost always on the move. We love a good adventure and spend most of our time outside. That love for nature and open space naturally influences the way I photograph. I love movement, honest laughter, wind in your hair, and the moments in between the “big” ones.

I vibe with couples who are real, authentic, and down for anything — the kind who care more about connection than perfection. I want you to feel like you’re hanging out with a friend, not standing stiff in front of a camera.
